Scopa Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Scopa is an independent multiplayer card-game service operated by an individual developer using the project name Scopa Studio. Scopa Studio is a project name, not a claim that a separate company has been incorporated. Questions about these Terms can be sent to happywithfriends@outlook.com.
These Terms apply to Scopa’s game, websites, and apps (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who may use Scopa
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If your local law sets a higher minimum age for using the Service or consenting to data processing, you must meet that higher age. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, you may use Scopa only with a parent or guardian’s permission where local law requires it. Scopa is not intended for children under 13.
Accounts and sign-in
You may play as a guest or use Google sign-in where available. Keep your device and sign-in access secure, use a display name you are allowed to use, and tell support if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity through your account except where applicable law says otherwise. Google sign-in is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s terms and privacy notices. Disconnecting or revoking Google sign-in does not itself delete your Scopa account or match history.
Fair play and conduct
Use Scopa lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or target other players; use Scopa to share unlawful or harmful content; cheat or disrupt a match; interfere with the Service or its security; bypass access controls; abuse reporting or invitations; or violate another person’s rights. Do not share passwords or sensitive personal information in a display name, chat, or voice message. Scopa may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to protect players, enforce these Terms, investigate abuse, or comply with law.
Room content, chat, and voice
Room messages and voice messages are shared with people in that room. You remain responsible for the content you submit and must have the rights and permissions needed to share it. You give Scopa a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and moderate the Service. This permission ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for temporary copies or records retained as described in the Privacy Policy or required by law.
The current Service keeps recent room chat in server memory for up to 30 minutes and configures voice media to expire after one hour. Cleanup may be delayed by technical issues. Do not use Scopa to send content you do not want other members of the room to see or hear.
The game and availability
Scopa is currently provided as a free game service with no in-game purchases. Game rules, features, and availability may change as the independent developer maintains and improves the Service. Scopa may suspend a room, fix an obvious result error, or temporarily limit access to address a security issue, abuse, maintenance, or a legal requirement. The Service may be unavailable or contain errors; no continuous or error-free operation is promised.
Intellectual property
Scopa and its original software, design, and branding are owned by their respective rights holders. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial play. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Scopa or give you a right to copy, modify, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the Service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Scopa at any time. Scopa may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary because of a serious or repeated breach, security risk, abuse, or legal requirement. Where practical and lawful, Scopa will explain the reason and provide a way to contact support. You may request account deletion by emailing happywithfriends@outlook.com with your player ID or display name. Scopa may verify account control before acting. Some match or security records may be kept or de-identified where needed for service integrity or required by law, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and limits
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scopa is provided “as is” and “as available.” These Terms do not exclude warranties or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, or limit any non-waivable consumer rights. To the extent the law permits, Scopa Studio will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these Terms
Scopa may update these Terms as the Service changes. The “Last updated” date will reflect the current version. For material changes, Scopa will provide notice in the Service or by another reasonable means where required. If you do not agree to an updated version, stop using the Service.
Governing rules and contact
These Terms are subject to the mandatory laws and consumer protections that apply where you live. Any dispute may be brought before a court or other forum with jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing here requires you to give up rights that cannot legally be waived.
